Ores of different compositions and origin were stocked in the yard and blended according to requirements.
An electric ore car transported ore to the blast furnace bunkers and conveyors carried ore to the Sinter Plant. The bridge did not long-travel when the grab was full. This crane was replaced sometime in the 1960s.
